Monsters of Art Exhibition
Inspired by the Sketchbook Project, Monsters of Art was created as an opportunity to channel Revelstoke’s creative community and voice, into one event that will help raise money for the Columbia Valley Skateboard Association (CVSA) with the objective of renovating the Revelstoke skatepark. Participants will have three months to acquire and fill a sketchbook with any media of their liking whether it be drawings, photographs, paintings, collage, prints or words.
Our friends at the Powder Springs will be hosting an exhibition of all participating sketchbooks on March 25, 2011. The exhibition will begin at 4pm in Mackenzie room (all ages welcome!) and will continue later in the evening in The Last Drop Pub where DJ Trigger will be spinning some phat hip hop beats. There is a suggested donation of $5 at the door for both the exhibition and the afterparty! Remember this money is going to a great cause! Later on in the evening, four skatedecks with custom graphics by local artists will be up for silent auction!
