Revelstoke Coffee House
There’s a special treat coming up this weekend in Revelstoke, and organizer Denis Severino hopes it is the first of many. The Revelstoke Folk Music Society is happy to announce their first Revelstoke Coffee House on Saturday, January 22 at the United Church. For $3 at the door, the audience will be treated to live music, coffee, homebaked treats and a 50/50 draw if you’re feeling lucky.
Coffee houses provide a super opportunity to hit the stage for a few songs - the atmosphere is intimate and supportive, the sound is great, and we’ll be full of coffee and snacks and smiles. Each performer or group can play up to three songs. The evening will close with a performance by local folk favourites Sister Girl.
Doors open at 7:00 pm to sign up to perform, and music runs from 7:30 pm to 10:30. Test out some new material or play some old standards, as long as you’re smiling. Come support local talent in a low-key setting, and head home with some new favourite tunes and some inspiration to play!
