Want to be a part of the Freeskiing World Tour?
The Subaru Freeskiing World Tour is seeking volunteers for the tour stop at Revelstoke Mountain Resort January 4-9, 2012! Come to an information session tomorrow night - Tuesday November 29, 2011 at Mackenzie’s (located behind The Last Drop) at 7:00 pm.
This January, RMR and the Chamber of Commerce will once again host the Canadian Freeskiing Championships as part of the Freeskiing World Tour. Now in its fourteenth year, the Freeskiing World Tour is the largest and longest-running competitive big mountain freeskiing tour in the history of the sport, featuring athletes from around the world and over $100,000 in prize money.
Following the successful execution of the Canadian Freeskiing Championships over the past two years, RMR is excited about hosting the event again this year (January 4-9, 2012) with the opportunity to gain further exposure of North America’s newest and most dynamic mountain community.
Local involvement and initiative will be a key factor for community engagement, as the world’s best come to Revelstoke to grace our slopes and streets. Organizers are looking for volunteers to fill a variety of positions, both on and off the mountain. If you are interested in helping out, please come to an information session on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 7:00 pm in Mackenzie’s Restaurant - located in the Powder Springs, behind the Last Drop.
