A cross-Pacific diversion: Sweetgrass Productions footage from Japan
On an indirectly related note, check out this teaser from Sweetgrass Productions plunkett macleane dvd - they’re filming a new movie in Japan and this is some stunning January footage (which makes us a little green with envy at all the snow). The guys are also keeping a really entertaining diary of their filming adventures.
John Brodie and I became friends with Nick and Ben last fall when their movie Hand Cut
premiered in Vancouver and they came over for an impromptu party after. They’re young and innovative, and they hike for almost every turn they film - so refreshing these days and it gives their footage a really organic feel. Hand Cut features a lot of footage from the Revelstoke area - it’s a spectacular film with a killer blues soundtrack.
