Do you feel guilty about taking days off?
Posted in Skiing on January 15th, 2008 by karilyn – 3 CommentsI decided to take a day off today - it was freezing cold and I was planning to drive Simon to the bus depot so he can head back to Vancouver for a few days. The luxury of having a season’s pass is that I don’t really feel guilty about missing out on a day of skiing, or about going home early. However, it doesn’t help my tally. “I’m done with days off!” exclaimed my roommate tonight. John’s up 5 days on me for the season, and I’m heading back to Thunder Bay, Ontario on the 21st - I’d better bring my gear with me so the days-on-snow keep up, even if it’s for ripping icy hardpack (which I still have such a soft spot for… occasionally). Do you ever feel guilty about taking days off? John has been eyeing up this chute - it's going to be in-bounds when the boundaries get extended! That's my line of the season, right there.
